Ross Robertson

Having a love of the open water and spending most of his time at the beach Ross has a true passion for long distance open water swimming and triathlons. Ross has completed the Rottnest channel swim multiple times as a quad, duo and solo swimmer, and is looking to one day make an English Channel attempt. He is also a competitive age group triathlete, when not training for big swim events!


Ross is an accredited triathlon development coach and spends many hours working with other triathletes and swimmers to develop them the perfect training regime to help them succeed and reach the goals that they desire.

FLOW Bros Coaching provides open water swim coaching, triathlon coaching and swimrun coaching for athletes with a wide range of fitness levels spanning from beginners to elite. 

FLOW Bros was born out of a love of open water and all things swimming, triathlon and a healthy lifestyle and having fun in awesome outdoor environment that we train in.


FLOW itself stands for Fitness, Lifestyle, Open Water and this is embodied in our coaching and sessions we deliver to you. 


We have created sessions to cater for people focusing on improving open water swimming, triathlon or general fitness. 

So whether you're a beginner triathlete, a serious open water swimmer or someone in between just looking to have fun and keep fit im sure we have the session for you.

Varied Pools (Bold Park or Newman College)

Want to sharpen up your swimming ? Spending alot of time in the water but feel like you're not getting anywhere fast ? Maybe its time to analyse how you're looking under the water. Our video sessions give you a look at your stroke, followed by some tips and drills you can use to really improve your stroke moving forward

Monday Mix Up

Newman College 5:45am

No better way to start the week than with a nice 2-4km swim ! Shakeout any long weekend sessions with this Monday Mix Up, a varied mix of Technique, aerobic work and speed work! Get ready to start the week right! 

Wednesday Evening

Bold Park 5:45pm

The FLOW pool sessions are a must for anyone wanting to increase their aerobic fitness and fine tune their swim technique. Distances range from 2.4km - 3.6km and will provide you with a great technique builder along with some aerobic sessions to achieve a great workout!

Friday Endurance

5:30am Newman College

Replacing our open water sessions over winter is a solid 1.5 hr endurance swim session to keep you fighting fit and ready to go come summer! Expect to swim 3.8-5km based on ability and swim pace.

Whether you're an Age Grouper looking to beat your current PB, or just starting out on the journey into triathlon, we can help. We are currently hosting some triathlon specific sessions, and work closely with affiliated triathlon clubs.

Want to take part in the fastest growing endurance sport on the planet ? Interested in finding out what its all about? Our swim run sessions will get you race ready. Designed specifically to build perfectly to have you race ready for the Rottnest SwimRun. 

Our preferred training zone between Trigg and Whitfords replicates most sections of The Rottnest Swimrun. The area has a good mix of protected swims and runs across: sand, reef, rocks, stairs, path and trail.

Our morning training sessions and workshops are a blend of open water swimming skills, transitions and running as well as conditioning and endurance. Our Timed race simulations are a lot of fun, that will give you valuable experience and help you build your all-day race pace. Expect to get your shoes wet in the swim, then run in them while you have a pull buoy strapped to your leg, possibly hand paddles too, while navigating your way between beaches and bays, with your partner in tow muttering “it’s not you, it’s me”!  All the spirt and character of swimrun is shared and forgiven at the finish where a few essential drinks are all part of the ethos of swimrun.
